Instrumental music has been used to bring peace to kings and lead soldiers into battle.  Here at MAG we use instrumental music to lead the body of Christ into worship. Rehearsals are on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9PM. To schedule an audition, contact the Worship and Creative Arts office.

Rhythm Section – The Rhythm Section includes those who play keyboards, drums, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, and percussion.

Orchestra – With the orchestra, we have the addition of the brass, woodwinds and strings. The Orchestra is used during Sunday worship services as well as special events here at MAG.

A high degree of musicianship is expected along with a high level of commitment to our team. Once approved you will not play with the band in services until notified but will be expected to attend each rehearsal. Rehearsals are held each Tuesday night at 7:30PM. You must also attend Manassas Assembly of God for at least 3 months prior to joining. It is understood that you will maintain a lifestyle of worship and will ever be striving to be a passionate worshipper and follower of Jesus.

Call the Worship and Creative Arts office at 703-257-6783 and ask for a music application or download one (below). Once you have completed the application, call and set up an appointment with the Worship Pastor. This will be an informal get acquainted interview with an audition. Please prepare a selection of your choice for your instrument and be prepared to sight read music in the audition. More specific information will be given to you at the interview. Once approved by the Worship Pastor you will be able to come to the next Praise Band rehearsal and begin your ministry as part of the team.
