When I think of worship, my mind immediately goes to Romans 12, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

The arts have always been a powerful tool of influence in the world’s cultures. As a ministry, we strive to live and move and have our being in God, allowing Him to transform our minds and renew us so that we might have an impact on our culture. Psalm 19:1-4 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

I am always amazed at the phenomenal creativity and beauty with which God has surrounded us. I am further amazed by the fact that God has entrusted us with His creation. Here at MAG, we take elements that God has given us (paint, wood, clay, music, images, etc.) and use them to communicate God’s truth and love. As we use these tools to glorify God, we realize that, “It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God.” (2 Corinthians 3:5). Join us in using your gift to glorify God!
