Your Role in Leg One
1. Understand this leg of The Journey and how it relates to the entire plan. Leg One is an important first step towards reaching our desired expansion goal. The entire cost of the expansion project is a significant expense. We believe we are best positioned to take on the project in incremental stages.
The first stage construction of our access road not only prepares us for the volume of traffic anticipated in the future, it solves a critical traffic flow challenge facing us now. It is affordable and achievable in a shorter time span and solves future infra-structure needs. Other portions of the project help us anticipate the future as well. Since the new Worship Center will be built on the North lawn, we will need to find another place for various recreation activities. Creating a recreation area to the south on a portion of our 150 acres, we will be able to begin future Worship Center construction without any impact on the reacreation outreach ministries we have.
Following the first leg, MAG will enter the base camp phase. During that phase, MAG will focus on growing the congregation, physically and spiritually while details for the following construction are finalized. At some point in the near future, we will be positioned to take on the significant challenge of the next leg. Leg One sets us up to be successful in the remaining portion of The Journey.
If you have any questions about the capital campain or any aspect of expansion project, feel free to visit The Journey Information booth next to the Welcome Center in the Grand Foyer or email your question to The Journey team at thejourney@magchurch.org.
2. Spend time in prayer. Before you make a commitment, spend time in prayer. Ask Him to show you your role in MAG’s future.
3. Make a commitment. The Journey pledge represents a one-year giving commitment that is above and beyond your normal tithe and offerings. Spend time seeking God during this period. Hear His voice regarding your financial pledge for this leg of The Journey. To join the Journey, simply download a commitment card, fill it out and drop in the offering bag.
4. Give faithfully. Trust God to provide as you fulfill your commitment. Trust God to help you give regularly and faithfully over the course of the next year as He has prompted you.
5. Get prepared for the next leg of The Journey! This first step will position the church to successfully accomplish the total expansion goal in the years ahead. Start preparing your heart now for your role in the next stage of The Journey.
